FAQ’s
How far in advance should you reserve rental items?
We recommend reserving items as soon as you know the dates you need them to ensure the items you need are available. Busy seasons like spring, summer and holidays book out weeks in advance.
What if there is rain or other bad weather on our reservation date, or forecasted?
Event King reserves the right to make any final decisions regarding cancelling a rental reservation due to bad weather. Safety is a top priority and we have to follow rules to keep everyone safe. This would include winds or gusts more than 15 MPH, 70% or higher chance of rain, and /or temperatures below 40 degrees F. As long as it is not lightning, thundering, heavy rains, or winds do not exceed 15 mph, we plan on delivery and set-up. If you choose for us to still deliver, full payment is due. Refunds will not be given after delivery. If you choose to cancel your reservation due to forecasted inclement weather, please let us know by 7:00 AM the morning of your event. We will be happy to work with you to re-schedule or delay delivery and set-up, OR reschedule your reservation with no penalties.
Do inflatables need electricity?
Yes. Inflatables need electricity for the blower to run continuously to keep it inflated while being used. We provide an extension cord to plug in our blower, but it needs an outlet of 110-120 volts, the same as most typical home appliances. If no outlet is available at the event location, we have a generator you may include in your rental for an additional fee.
How much space is needed to set up a bounce house or tent?
Most need 15-20 feet wide and 15-20 feet deep along with extra space for safety and the blower. Some obstacle courses are long and need adequate space, so check the product description on our website. It is also very important that there be no tree branches, power lines, or other obstacles. Feel free to call us with any questions on this subject. Bounces houses move side to side while being jumped in, so please keep that in mind.
What type of areas can you set up a bounce house or other inflatable?
Gym floors, indoor event venues, grass, turf, cement, pavements, but NO rocky or sharp areas. All toys, debris, trash, pet droppings will need to be removed from the set-up location before delivery. If not, then we may have to leave and give you time to take care of that while we resume our delivery schedule and then return once it is taken care of. Also, since bounce houses move side to side while being jumped in, we cannot set up near barriers such as walls or fences. Very unsafe! Delivery staff cannot navigate stairs or hills. The set-up location must be easily reachable from the delivery truck and within 50 yards of the vehicle or trailer. If delivery staff must go through a fence or gate, they have to be able to fit the electric dolly through it. Width of gate must be at least 36 inches.
Are your bounce houses/inflatables safe and clean?
Our inflatables are commercial grade for quality and safety. They also have to be inspected by a certified inspector yearly. Adult supervision is always required. Safety and cleanliness are a top priority. We inspect, clean and sanitize after each rental.
What do you do if the bounce house/inflatable deflates during use?

**In the event we have to come out because of an issue with your electricity, there is a $75 service fee.**
